A 5 Year Old’s Guide to Hoboken, NJ
The Mile Square may be small, but it is PACKED with fun things for young children and families. We’ve done some (admittedly, not super scientific) research with local kids and here is our list of must-dos in Hoboken:
Things To Do:
Pick up a new book at Little City Books; the children’s book annex is the best! And consider donating your old children’s books to Symposia, a nonprofit used book shop.
Channel your inner Picasso with art classes at PLAYDAY.
Get moving with the most fun sports classes at Inner Athlete.
Nurture a love for the stage at Hoboken Children's Theater.
Discover a new playground; the playground scene in Hoboken is second to none. While we love our local playground, it is fun to try out playgrounds in different parts of town.
Rock on with a music lesson at School of Rock.
Escape bad whether at Little Play Co., which has the cutest indoor play area.
Refresh your wardrobe (sustainably!) by shopping secondhand kids’ clothes at Bounce Mkt.
Food + Drink:
Start the morning off right with a babyccino at bwè.
Do brunch at Turning Point and fill up on some delicious pancakes.
Head over to Pilsener Haus for yummy pretzels and a lively kid scene.
Check out The Hive for sweet treats, including the best cookies. Bonus: they have a fun play area for small children.
Grab a slice at Napoli's.
Dine at Elysian; kids eat free on Tuesday evenings!
Indulge in the most delicious gelato at Kiki Lu.
